Oak Parquets: Our Decorating Ideas Showcasing Raw Materials

Next year's interior design trends are beginning to take shape. Since the pandemic, our homes have become places where we work as well as live, where we want to feel good without mixing our personal and professional lives.

This daily change often resonates with a desire to transform the environment we live in, to establish new habits, and move towards something more authentic.

This is reflected in the interior design trends for 2022. The focus is on natural and simple elements through a minimalist style, using raw, less processed materials. Interior spaces are arranged with an eco-friendly perspective, incorporating recycling, DIY projects, and repurposing second-hand furniture. Even among designers, there is an increasing presence of furniture with an “artisanal” or “handmade” appearance, along with accessories using raw materials. Incorporating greenery and blurring the boundary with the garden to feel closer to nature is also appreciated.

At the center of all these atmospheres is wood. Today, we provide you with some interior decoration ideas, highlighting some of our oak parquets.

Bright Wood with a Natural Effect – Scandinavian Style

The Scandinavian style has been consistent in recent years. The characteristics of this type of decoration, emphasizing brightness, simplicity, and comfort, are appreciated. In terms of color palette, neutral and soft tones are chosen, often paired with white to maximize brightness. For decoration, don’t hesitate to be imaginative. You can combine different raw materials such as wood, stone, or even particleboard, all within bright tones, bringing the sought-after natural feel. Also, introduce softer materials like wool and cotton to create that “cozy” aspect cherished in Scandinavian style.

For the floor, we recommend the Montagny parquet for Scandinavian-style decoration. This parquet highlights the quality of wood, the authenticity of oak, and its rusticity. It will bring light with its light color and will blend perfectly with the interior decoration.

For Those Who Like Contrasting Styles: Industrial Style

Now, let’s talk about the industrial style, which, compared to the Scandinavian style, does not seek simplicity in design. Industrial style embraces revealing pipes and everything usually concealed in a home. It’s a unique style, but we assure you, it’s fun to tame through the contrasts between materials and colors that can be associated. In this style, we find the marriage of wood, bringing warmth, with metal, which is much colder. We appreciate solid, straight, and thick furniture. The particularity of industrial style is its timelessness. It is easy to associate with other styles, allowing it to adapt to individual tastes. For example, you can find second-hand furniture for a more vintage atmosphere or combine raw materials with more noble materials to make your interior look more chic.

For the floor, we recommend a parquet from the Nature Collection in dark tones for an industrial interior. The Antique parquet can contrast with, for example, a white brick wall to marry industrial style with the brighter Scandinavian style. The wood rings are very visible, bringing a natural touch. We also recommend placing large plants to bring some greenery and play on the contrasts.

A Style to Travel from Your Home – Bohemian Style

For those with a traveler’s soul, the bohemian style is the best way to travel while staying at home. This is highly appreciated as we spend more and more time at home with the popularization of remote work. Moreover, in this winter period, the bohemian style allows you to bring color into your interior by playing with various palettes and motifs.

The materials in the spotlight are rich, raw, and, above all, natural. Rattan, wicker, bamboo, and, of course, wood are commonly used for furniture as well as interior decoration, like the star material of the bohemian style, macramé. Everything is often accompanied by fabrics, canvases, and carpets in warm and light color palettes with beautiful ethnic motifs.

For the parquet, we recommend the Aged White parquet from our Vintage collection, bringing a lot of light and thus highlighting the colors of furniture and decorations. The bohemian style is often associated with ethnic and vintage styles, which also have the characteristic of bringing a natural aspect of raw materials into your interior. This aged-looking parquet is perfect to combine with a bohemian interior to travel from your home!
